The AI behind that is so insidious and biased that I won't accept an interview with a company that requires it be done on video. There is so much information about the way they analyze micro-expressions, and the bias behind it. I will pass on the best sounding opportunity in the world if they ask me to do a video.

I've done two, and never heard from either company again. I didn't even get a no-thanks email. Any person with anxiety about being on camera, generalized anxiety, nervousness about interviewing, or a hundred other complex emotions will immediately fail.

I've hired dozens of people and done hundreds of interviews, and micro expressions don't tell anyone anything about a candidate that matters. Interview questions are not designed to get to the qualities of a person that will make them successful, because the actual human attributes that make a person succeed in a role are nearly never correctly asked about. This entire field is throwing a cool sounding and experimental technology at a situation that hasn't been correctly analyzed, nor the correct problems identified.

If you want to weed out all the exceptional candidates in favor of the best Insta-liar. By all means, use video and AI.
